John Gamboa has been painting in oils since 1980.  He studied painting and writing at UCSD, and painting at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA. He has lived in the PDX area since 1992. He enjoys inventing historical or mythological figures and tries at all times to imagine stories about the figures he creates.
