We have been given a timeout; forced into our rooms to face each other and ourselves; to think about what we’ve done.

At the age of two, this tiny venture is just getting on its feet.  It’s still cute and cuddly.  But it is also a pain in the ass requiring more than a lot of attention, and it won’t be ignored.

Read.  Create.  Submit.  Repeat.

An antidote to all the heat is escape.  And that is where Art plays an important role.  The Thieving Magpie has arrived just in time, flapping its big wings to help provide some cool air and escape from all that heat.

We do not ignore the anxieties. We do not dismiss the darkness. We do not give a cold shoulder to the mayhem or brush off the mischief.

Still chirping. Still flapping. Still finding and gathering odd and precious gems of literary mischief from around the world, and still presenting them in our cozy little nest of mayhem. And happily so.
