Mindy Ohringer – Bio

Mindy Ohringer’s politically charged short stories, essays, and poetry have appeared in Hot Flash Fiction, Terror House, the Thieving Magpie, Rat’s Ass Review, The Times of Israel, October Hill Magazine and The Greenwich Village Literary Review.  In 2018, she participated in Marge Piercy’s annual juried poetry intensive. Mindy was a “Writer in Residence” at Byrdcliffe Arts Colony during September 2018 and May/June 2019, working on her phantasmagorical trilogy about women writers, their struggle to create, and the 2008 presidential election. Mindy graduated from Barnard College, earned an M.A. in Politics from New York University, and completed doctoral coursework in Politics at N.Y.U. Her career includes interludes in entertainment, public relations, government investigation and oversight, political consulting, and public education advocacy.
